2-Day Citrus Diet

As the name indicates, this diet consists of getting sufficient Vitamin C by eating only citrus such as oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, tangelos, and partaking of the juices of these fruits for two days. Citrus is also known to detoxify and energize the body, and is very beneficial in preventing cancer and fortifying the tissues, bones, and blood vessels.

On the negative side, too much citrus or Vitamin C intake can cause diarrhea, heartburn or loss of tooth enamel, and for some people, skin rash. This type of diet is not recommended for someone who suffers from low or high blood pressure. And some people tend to overeat or binge after a citrus diet, indicating that only citrus is not enough to hold them over until mealtime.
A citrus diet is a quick way to lose weight, and you will if the instructions are followed carefully; however, the weight that you actually lose is of water and you will regain the weight once you return to your normal way of eating again.
