We all know that balanced diet and regular exercise helps in weight loss and maintaining a fit body; however, it also provides other benefits such as strengthening bones and preventing osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is a condition wherein the bones become brittle and fragile. It can affect any bones in the body but the most common areas are spine, hips, and wrist.
Once the bones are damaged, It can’t be replaced with new bones unlike other organs. Metals can be used but it won’t be the same as before when your bones were still undamaged. Thus, in order to keep the bones strong and healthy, experts suggest that it would be best to start at an early age. When you are already old, vigorous exercises should be avoided; however, it is still necessary to stay active in order to prevent bones from breaking. Discontinuing vices such as smoking and alcohol intake is also necessary to prevent the bones from becoming fragile.
Eating a balanced diet with adequate amounts of nutrition is essential because through foods, the body gets calcium which is stored on the bones to keep it strong.
