Targeting Belly Fat Effectively
Belly fat or “love handles” can’t just be ignored. It’s a type of unwanted fat that extends in your waist to a significant and often alarming level. Aside from its effect on the way you look, your belly fat will also affect your health in the long run if you don’t address them as soon as possible. A belly fat is a sign that you are increasing your insulin resistance in your body. Insulin is one of the key elements in your body that handles the adverse effects of sugar and one of them is diabetes. A fat belly in the long run will cause diabetes which is often fatal if not cured as soon as possible.
There is a misconception that addressing belly fat is all about targeting the right area during exercise. If you happen to have a belly fat, there is a great chance that you also have fats in other areas in your body.
It takes more than just a simple exercise to get rid of the belly fat; you have to incorporate these three factors to ensure that you are addressing your belly fat which will also affect your whole body: food, exercise and supplements.
Reducing Belly Fat through Exercise
As we have indicated, one type of exercise will never help you get rid of your belly fat. You need to exercise your whole body and emphasize on your belly. You need to work on your thighs, your arms and different parts of the body to complement your exercise in your belly. The body will always balance or distribute its fat content and one of the first recipients of those fats is the belly. Your exercise should address different parts of your body but you have to place an emphasis on core exercises. Core exercises are set of exercises that only focus on your stomach which will help reduce your belly. Don’t think that core exercises are only made up of sit-ups. As you increase your strength in handling your body, you will experience more grueling core exercises.
Food Control
Food is also one of the major reasons why you have that type of body today. Eating food with lots of calories, fat and cholesterol will greatly increase your belly fat. To address this, you don’t just reduce on your food intake; you have to regulate what type of food that you are eating. But you can lose that belly fast even though you eat the same amount of food. The only difference is that you have to know what food you are eating. Fruits and vegetables should be the food you should eat more. But don’t just eat any fruit you prefer. There are fruits and vegetables that are good because they contain vitamins but they’re not good enough because they contain a good amount of calories.
If you really want to eat meat, make sure to stay away from fats. Just take lean meat with no added calories by reducing the use of oil.
Aside from food, water is will help you in so many ways to reduce your belly fat and your weight. Drinking a good amount of water flushes out bad elements in your body. And this will include the elements that increases belly fat. But don’t drink water and then drink soda afterwards because that will just defeat the purpose of water in cleaning your body.
Notes on Food Supplements
Besides regulated food intake, food supplements should be part of your plan in reducing belly fat. There are those who believe that regulated food intake should be more than enough to help you reduce that belly fat with the help of exercises. That may be true but the effect is not as fast as you think. You need to have food supplements because these food supplements increases the vitamins that comes in the food that you eat. Because the vitamin content in your body has increased significantly, you would have enough energy to burn those fats in your belly.
Dieting with food supplements is ok but you have to make sure that you are dieting with the right amount of food. If you just reduced your food intake with little vitamin content on your food, food supplements will never work because they can’t increase anything.
Reducing belly fat is never easy but these three factors should be able to help you reduce that belly fat fast.
